Max is a Georgia native and a lifelong Georgia Bulldog. He will be serving as the Director of English as a Second Language at 6:8 Ministries, as well as teaching English classes in Alajuelita. Max’s heart for missions began in Padre Ramos, Nicaragua, where he encountered God’s love through serving children and families of the village. Following the global pandemic, Max was introduced to 6:8 Ministries through a spring break trip with his fraternity. There he encountered God once again, and felt called to return as a summer staff member. Over the summer he built relationships with both the ministry staff and community, dancing for the children and teaching his first English class, all the while feeling a pull toward full time mission work. After a year of searching (and two more lengthy stays in Costa Rica), Max committed to following God’s calling to 6:8. It is his hope to move to Alajuelita full-time later this year.
