Rachel is from Jacksonville, Florida and has decided to leave her full-time vocational ministry position at The Church of Eleven22 to join the mission field with 6:8 Ministries. During her church’s latest discipleship journey called the “10:10 Life,” she began to ask herself “what does it truly mean to live abundantly… and am I living it?”
Each time she would hear her pastor talk about sending long-term missionaries from their church family her heart would leap in her chest. There was a still small voice that would whisper”…he’s talking about you.”
In the summer of 2022, she was given the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Costa Rica with 6:8 Ministries. Rachel was not prepared for what would happen next. Arriving in Costa Rica felt like returning home, yet she had never been there before. Throughout this trip Rachel began to ask the Lord, “Have you created me with specific talents and desires for missions?” After returning home, she continued to pray about what God was revealing in her. Even though God had not given her the full picture, He was faithful to give her small steps of obedience along the way. The following summer Rachel returned to Costa Rica as apart of 6:8’s Summer Staff to host teams and discern if the next thing the Lord was calling her to was long-term missions.
Through her time spent at the ranch the Lord revealed to her just how uniquely He had prepared her for the mission field in Costa Rica. With her background in project management,
design, and administration the Lord will be able to use her to aid the 6:8 team to continue to grow and make His glory known.
Rachel has plans to move to Costa Rica in January of 2024 and is eager to leave behind the carousel of the American Dream and embark on the rollercoaster that is the Christian life.
Please prayerfully consider supporting God’s work through Rachel with your prayers and
financial giving.
