Are you passionate about serving others and living out your faith in a dynamic, hands-on environment? Consider joining 6:8 Ministries as an intern! Our internship program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in mission work, grow spiritually, and make a tangible difference in Costa Rica.
Who We're Looking For
To be eligible for our internship program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Faith Commitment: Applicants must be Christians who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and uphold the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.
- Previous Experience: Must have participated in a short-term mission trip with 6:8 Ministries.
- Active Service: Currently serving within their community, church, or school.
- Recommendations: Obtain three letters of recommendation.
- Availability: Commit to 6-12 weeks between May 25 and August 25.
- Scripture Memorization: Required to memorize Philippians 2:1-11.
We seek individuals who aspire to serve like Jesus, embodying the Christ-like attitudes taught in Philippians 2:1-11.
Internship Responsibilities
As an intern, you will become an integral member of the 6:8 Ministries staff family, helping to host and support short-term mission groups. Your responsibilities will include:
- Location Work: Serving in Alajuelita or Horquetas.
- Transportation: Traveling on public transportation.
- Construction Projects: Assisting with various construction tasks.
- Prayer Walks: Guiding and assisting groups on prayer walks.
- Community Engagement: Working in community centers and churches.
- Worship Leadership: Leading worship sessions.
- Team Support: Cooking for teams, spending down time with teams, and providing general assistance.
- Leadership Submission: Submitting to leadership and attending staff meetings.
Our goal is to utilize each intern according to the needs within the ministry. This may include tasks that are not desired by the interns but are essential to fulfilling the God-given vision of 6:8 Ministries.
Cost and Benefits
Cost: $150 per week, which includes:
Three meals a day
Transportation to and from the airport
Housing
This program offers a comprehensive experience that encompasses spiritual growth, practical service, and community living.
