Seth Boulter is the son of Spencer and Molly Boulter, who founded our ministry 20 years ago. Seth grew up in and around 6:8 Ministries, experiencing firsthand the impact of ministry and the importance of serving people with compassion and faith. After his family returned to the United States, Seth graduated high school and earned his Associate’s degree. Eager to strike out on his own, he became a marine and was unfortunately injured during his service. Undeterred, Seth pivoted, becoming licensed as a paramedic, volunteering in the fire service. Though each experience had its own unique lessons and challenges, each left Seth seeking purpose, direction and fulfillment.
Looking back, Seth now recognizes that God was using each season of his life to teach and prepare him. The experiences that took him away from his family and the ministry helped him discover that the fulfillment he was searching for could not be found simply in achievement, career, or living according to his own plans. Through prayer and reflection, Seth began to recognize the unique joy and purpose he experienced when serving alongside 6:8 Ministries in Costa Rica. God used each challenge to turn Seth’s heart back toward the calling he had known since childhood. Seth has now chosen to return to Costa Rica as a full-time missionary with 6:8 Ministries. He hopes to use the skills, experiences, and lessons God has given him to serve others, build relationships, and help further the ministry. His story is one of God’s faithfulness: using every season, even the difficult ones, to guide Seth toward the purpose He had for him all along.
