The Lord has provided me the opportunity to serve in a variety of ministries since college. I got involved in FCA Motocross my sophomore year of college and served on staff with them for about 4 years. After school and while still serving with FCA, I began teaching middle school classes at Mountain Area Christian Academy. It was a great opportunity to teach students Bible class, as well as incorporate Biblical truth into every subject matter that was taught to encourage students to see how God is not only involved in everything, but that He UPHOLDS everything and all of creation points to His glory!
After my time at the school, I began working at Highland Outdoor Ministry, a local action-sport ministry focused on reaching those often overlooked in the communities. All while this is going on, my parents, Steve and Nikki Shamblin are led by God to move to Costa Rica and serve with 6:8 ministries. It was on my visit that I fell in love in more ways than one. 6:8 ministries does a phenomenal job in focusing on relationship building and true discipleship. It was also here that I met my beautiful wife, Ana Jancy. After much prayer, communication with 6:8 staff as well as Highland Outdoor Ministry, the Lord has made it clear to all that I am to pursue a staff position at 6:8 ministries. I am extremely excited to begin this process, and to also serve alongside my wife. Please consider supporting me and my family in this process! We are trusting God with every step we take, and we know His will be done! We are very excited to begin serving 6:8 ministries and the people of Costa Rica, together.
